In addition to registering for the event on Devpost, participants must register for Enactus Windsor Hacks using the form ( Approximately a week before the hackathon you will receive an email to join our official Discord to network and create teams!

The last day to enter Enactus Windsor Hacks will be November 6th 11:59 PM. After this time no other participants will be accepted. 

Participants who enter as individuals will have the opportunity to meet all the other participants who also entered in as an individual, or individuals who are looking to add onto their teams. If participants have trouble with their group members with either harassment, or bullying please contact a moderator on the Discord or reach out to us at Unacceptable behaviour will be dealt with accordingly. Please refer to the Code of Conduct.

Code of Conduct

Our Hackathon, Enactus Windsor Hacks is committed to providing a safe and collaborative environment for all attendees, speakers and sponsors. We will not tolerate harassment or bullying of any kind. Harassment includes; offensive verbal or written comments related to: gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality, creed, religion or political views, sexual images, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, photography or audio/video recording against reasonable consent, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of hackathon staff immediately.

Enactus Windsor Hacks team will be happy to help participants contact any local security or local law enforcement. 

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Failure to do so may result in expulsion for the event and future events and or contacting the police.

During the Competition

Each team for the duration of the 3 days will be able participate in a number of seminars, seminars are described as opening ceremonies, closing ceremonies, Morning yoga, any Sponsor speaker, any of the Coding Workshops, and more. Students are free to attend as many or as little as they like.

Submissions Requirements

Each team will be required to submit a YouTube video approximately 10 minutes in length which will showcase their projects. Videos that are longer than 15 minutes and shorter than 5 minutes will not be considered. Stealing people's work will be cause for immediate cause for disqualification. Open source code is the expectation. 

The deadline to submit the videos for the projects will be on November 8th 11:00 AM EST. Anything submited after the deadline will not be considered.

Prize Eligibility

Submissions will be considered for all challenges but may only win one major prize per submission. The prize being paid out will be paid to all the registered participants who took part in creating the winning submission in a manner such that the total prize is distributed equally among the registered participants. For example; if a team of 4 participants is declared the winners of a major prize valued at $1000, then the 4 participants will each receive $250 in prize money. Under no circumstances will more than the amount of winnings listed for each challenge be dispersed for each respective challenge. For example; if a team of 4 participants is declared the winners of a major prize value at $1000, not more than $1000 for the winning submission.

If no submission satisfies the judges to be a winning entry according to the judgement criteria, Enactus Windsor reserves the right to declare no such winner to said prize.  There will be no ability for participants to argue the results of a judgement. If the winnings are rejected by particpants responsible for submiting the winning submission, then Enactus Windsor reserves the right to (1) declare no such winner for said challenge or prize, and (2) to declare a different submission the winner of said challenge or prize.

The registered participants who submitted a winning submission have until 11:59 PM EST on November 8th, 2020 to claim their prize by communicating their intent to claim said prize for their winning submission to a member of Enactus Windsor. If registered participants fail to do so, in the manner mentioned herein, they will thereby be considered to have rejected the winnings and forfeit their claim to the prize.

Enactus Windsor Social Enterprise Accelerator Conditions

The Enactus Windsor Social Enterprise Accelerator will be awarded to a team composed entirely of University of Windsor students which also opts-in for this prize. Because this prize acts as an accelerator for their businesses idea, conditions apply which the team must agree to in order to be eligible for the award. (1) The team must opt-in on Devpost to be concidered for the award while submitting their solution. (2) The team must agree to join Enactus Windsor as a Research & Development associates who will be heading their team as part of the accelerator program. Their team will be alotted a $1000 budget in start-up funding and will also receive guidance and mentorship from Enactus Windsor in addition to possibly having their project presented on at expositions across the country. (3) As part of this accelerator, the team must agree to attend bi-weekly meetings to discuss progress, share data and updates and with Enactus Windsor to develop their project from December 1, 2020 to April 30, 2021. (4) As part of this accelerator, both Enactus Windsor and the winning team agree that at no point will intellectual property of the winner team be acquired by Enactus Windsor. Enactus Windsor will not facilitate the transfer of intellectual property from any of its members to other parties, including Enactus Windsor. (5) The team understands that in-order to be eligible for this award, they must be registered students at the University of Windsor until the end of the Winter 2021 term. In order to be eligible for this prize, the winning team must agree to the conditions stated herein. By opting in for this challenge, teams agree to these terms.

Participation Agreement

By participating and registering for Enactus Windsor Hacks, participants agree to all rules, terms and conditions as stated on the Enactus Windsor Hacks Devpost page, website and Discord.
